Healthy and Equitable Futures (HEF) is a long-term initiative of the Greater Rochester Health Foundation with a vision that every child in Monroe County grows up healthy, supported, and thriving. By focusing on whole child health — physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development — we pledge to achieve racial equity so that Black and Latino children ages 0–8 are safe, supported, and thriving.
We're celebrating all that can be achieved when nonprofits and funders work in authentic partnership with parents to make lasting change in organizations and systems! We’re excited to share this video spotlight on Healthy and Equitable Futures -- our Targeted Strategy to advance racial health equity for Black and Latinx children ages 0-8, co-created with parent leaders every step of the way.

To guide our work, HEF has identified three interconnected “Levers for Change.” These levers are areas where progress can spark transformation across systems and help build healthier, more equitable futures.
